Inspirational and motivational events
These events are meant to inspire you and give you the courage to start working on your dream. Typically, one or more guest speakers, who have been able to reach professional happiness, talk about their story and give encouragment, useful information and tips to the participants. These events are highly interactive, with lively discussions and networking. For example, read about the Empowerment Forum or this inspirational event with Bing Xie.
These are typically one-day events, where you are the focus of a brainstorming session for a predefined time. These events are meant to help you generate new and creative ideas for your business, when you feel stuck. Before the event, the facilitator contacts you to discuss the expected results of the brainstorming session, in line with your specific needs. During the brainstorming session, the facilitator proposes ad-hoc questions or exercises to the group, in order to stimulate ideas and feedback that will help you achieve your expected results. When the turn of someone else comes, you provide feedback, insights, and ideas to help other participants. In so doing, you are likely to have fun and learn something valuable for your own business. A brainstorming session is open to women at different stages, from those, who who are looking for business ideas, to those, who already have a running business. Look for example at this past event.
Group mentoring meetings
These are either one-time (see this one for example) or regular meetings, where women work actively in small groups on their business or business idea, under the guidance of a business mentor. The ultimate objective of these meetings is to help participants achieve their business goals by:
- Supporting and challenging each other to set goals and to achieve them;
- Getting clear guidance from a business mentor on your business strategy and your next steps;
- Receiving feedback from the group on ways to overcome your present challenges;
- Decreasing your sense of isolation in developing your business, by feeling part of a group with common objectives.
Thematic workshops or courses
These workshops are meant to teach you, in a structred way, some of the most important topics for a small business, for example: developing a business model, financing your business, choosing the right marketing strategy, etc. Look for example at this upcoming event.
All events offer networking moments. At the end of each event, we ask participants for a feedback for continuous improvement.
